Caffinity tip: Replace the filter on average every 2 months or after about 50 litres of water, or when your machine indicates it. Briefly rinse a new filter first.

How to fit your AquaClean filter

Replace the filter as soon as the machine asks for it. This means you need to descale much less often.

  1. Take the filter out of the packaging and shake it for about 5 seconds.
  2. Immerse it in cold water with the opening facing down and press gently until no more air bubbles come out.
  3. Press the filter into the filter connection of the empty water tank as far as it will go.
  4. Fill the water tank with fresh water and put it back.
  5. Activate the filter in the menu (AquaClean). The machine will then flush the filter by itself.

Caffinity tip: If you replace the filter each time the machine asks, according to Philips you do not need to descale for up to 5,000 cups (calculated over 8 filters).
