How to clean the steam wand

Dried milk in the steam wand clogs the holes and causes a bad taste. Wipe the wand after each use and clean it thoroughly as soon as your Sage asks for it or the foam decreases.

  1. Dissolve one sachet in about half a litre of warm water in your milk jug (see the packaging).
  2. Immerse the steam wand in the solution and leave it to soak for 10 to 15 minutes.
  3. Remove the jug, let steam blow for about 5 seconds and wipe the wand clean with a damp cloth.
  4. If the holes in the tip are blocked, clear them with the cleaning pin that comes with your machine.

Caffinity tip: After each use, let steam blow briefly and wipe the wand straight away: this stops the milk from drying on.
